A love breakup is the trigger for this moving and delicate story based on the song Livros no Quintal (Books in the Backyard) by Vítor Ramil, adapted into screenplay by Vinícius Cruxen. Livros no Quintal is a short film full of conflicting feelings and reflections that exposes in its maximal analogy the existential conflict of “being an artist”. Sonia, a homossexual writer, is the character who leads us into this plot. She presents, in a day, the dispair of a woman who is opressed by her social context, her environment and her art. The result is the total destruction of her apartment, in search of an inexistent relief and in the purge of her inner self and everything around her.
